The Instyler (This Is Not a Commercial)

We don’t generally sit around watching infomercials – we promise – but the other week we found ourselves hypnotized by the magic of the Instyler.  Something about the shiny rotating barrel intertwined with brush bristles had us hooked, and we found ourselves awed by the before-and-after transformations from hideous rat’s nests to Pantene Pro-V commercials.  Like zombies, we lurched over to our phone, credit cards in hand, and ordered it.

When this miraculous device arrived at our doorstep, we were not disappointed. It’s a rather ingenious contraption that is the equivalent of a brush, a curler, and a flat iron all in one, so it can save time, money, and space in your bathroom.  Depending on how you hold the Instyler, you can flatten your hair, curl it, give it body, add highlights – well maybe not that last one – and luckily for us, it’s virtually idiot-proof.  Being able to look like we just got a salon blowout without having to pay a salon each time pretty much sealed the deal for us.

Are we following our mothers’ footsteps towards becoming infomercial addicts?  Maybe…because we are thisclose to ordering one of those Snuggies for dogs.

Website: http://www.getinstyler.com

Price:  The price (with shipping) is $155, but it includes a free Instyler (random, yes), so split it with a friend and you’ll each pay $77.50.
