Whether it's the Super Bowl or March Madness, it's always fun to have people over to watch the game -- and never assume that your little gathering cannot be an elegant affair simply because there will be men bellowing at your TV screen.  Are you horrified by the idea of bags of Frito Lays spilling onto the floor, greasy pizza boxes piling up, and nacho cheese that has formed an impenetrable, rubbery top layer?  Don't worry -- we have a solution.

For a Super Bowl party that doesn’t make you feel like you’ve fallen into a frat house rabbit hole, try some of the recipes that we’ve selected below.   And tell the pizza deliveryman that you’re sorry, but he must have the wrong address.

Oven-Fried Panko Chicken – this light and crispy “fried” chicken is actually much easier to make than regular fried chicken

Duck Sliders – with some melted cheese and perhaps some grilled onions, these are to-die-for

Chipotle Pork Cheeseburgers – a nice twist on the classic cheeseburger;  you might want to try making them in mini slider sizes

Italian Sausage Meatball Heroes – just plain decadent

Sticky Sesame Chicken Wings – these sesame-speckled chicken wings put other chicken wings to shame

Guacamole with Fresh Corn and Chipotle – so that no one complains about the absence of guacamole, try this unique and truly delicious interpretation

Truffle Macaroni and Cheese – again, a classic that will appeal to the kid in you and the gourmand in you

Sweet Potato Empanadas – sweet, crispy crowd-pleasers

Chocolate Caramel Cookie Bars – these are really lovely and elegant-looking, and – more importantly – absolutely delicious
