BGG Does Fashion’s Night Out

Last year we worked for a big corporation that sent us to NYC to cover FNO. We were so overwhelmed by the crowds that we instead went to go have a lovely dinner at The Standard (on the company, of course).  We don’t know what LA’s event will be like on Thursday, but we’ve put together an itinerary by neighborhood complete with happy hours and nearby restaurants in case you feel the need to escape the shopping (or, more like mingling - does anyone actually shop during this thing?) frenzy.

Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills is going to be rocking. The ferris wheel is back at Wilshire & Rodeo, and a ton of area stores are participating in the festivities (Dior, Jimmy Choo and Lanvin, to name a few).  Over on Robertson, Alice + Olivia is also going the carnival route, while Refinery29 and Phillip Lim 3.1 are hosting a party with the band Cults (proceeds from all sales go to The Silverlake Conservatory of Music). Other notable Robertson stops include Curve, Faith Connexion, and the Ken Paves Salon (free styling).

Where to Eat: We’d love to send you across the street to Villetta, but it’s probably best to stick to Barney’s or Frida’s in the Country Mart or nearby spots Blue PlateA Votre Sante, or R + D Kitchen

Century City

There’s a ton going on at Westfield, but all you really need to know is that our boyfriend LL Cool J is hosting a fashion show (for some reason...?).

The place to be in the ‘bu is the Malibu Country Mart (3835 Cross Creek Road). This fiesta offers an appearance by stylist Taylor Jacobson, a visit by the Coolhaus truck, entry into a $500 giftbag giveaway, and discounts throughout the shopping center.

West Hollywood

There is a lot going on in WeHo. So much so that we have a bit of anxiety just thinking about it. If you’re headed in that direction, we’d try not to miss the Fred Segal/Ron Herman party, the Ever party (with Nico Vega, yum), or the Christian Louboutin shindig. You may also want to check out LIVE! On Sunset, Opening Ceremony, TenOverSix and, if you’re feeling particularly brave, the Beverly Center. Also, Chocolate Sun is offering complimentary organic facial tanning treatments, Makeup Mandy is offering complimentary makeovers (plus, get 10% off when you donate your old makeup), and Modern Beauty is offering discounted haircut & blowdry services.
