We’re having some trouble focusing these days, as all we can think about is our upcoming South American adventure, which will be the first real vacation we’ve taken since 2009. We’ll be sure to document (lies -- we plan to throw our iPhone & laptop into the ocean upon arrival), but in the meantime we did manage to hold it together long enough to put your weekend together for you. Before we get into that itinerary, we’d like to mention that we’re hosting a bottomless mimosa brunch at Rock & Reilly’s -- our new favorite bar in town -- this Sunday from 12-3 p.m. Come in and eat and enjoy FREE BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS until 4 p.m. We can also promise lots o’ cute boys. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org (with the number in your party).
6-9 p.m. Don’t forget -- we’re hosting a JewelMint pop-up shop at Satine Boutique as a part of the West 3rd Street holiday block party. Free jewelry, free champagne, major discounts.
After work, stop by the James Perse sample sale. Then, grab $25 student tix to IRIS by Cirque du Soleil or, if your collegiate days are well behind you, check out the second-to-last night of Bring It On: The Musical. Tix are also $25. When the final curtain falls, head to Agency, a new nightclub pop-up at Hollywood & Gower.
If your richest relative just died -- or you’ve been saving all year for this -- start your Saturday at the Decades Two Chanel event, 11-6 p.m. Afterward, trek it to Pasadena for the Eat My Blog Bake Sale (click this link only after you’ve had breakfast, unless you feel like crying). Then, hurry downtown to the Cooper Building for the Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent sample sale. Stop by Le Pour Haus for a sip of wine and a quick bite after, then make your way to the Derby Dolls Championship, which is also downtown. Finish out your night at Villains Tavern, where the price of their seasonal punch drops from $11/pint to $7/pint after midnight.
If you’re feeling crazy, head back to Pasadena first thing Sunday morning to pay a visit to the Artisanal LA Holiday Pop-Up Shop. Get all kinds of goodies + learn how to make cool things (like beer). Or, sleep in and simply start your day at what our friends at R29 are calling the worst sample sale of all time -- Ed Hardy, 6126 by Lindsay Lohan, Hello Kitty?!? Nothing like a good laugh first thing on a Sunday morning. Afterward, go and get tipsy at Rock & Reilly’s for our free bottomless mimosa brunch (email@example.com). Later, go do something dorky in Venice -- there’s a boat parade at the canals -- or opt for the reception and premiere of City of Angels 11: An EPFC Youth Film Project downtown as part of the Echo Park Film Center 10-Year Anniversary Celebration.
