The Best Things We Did All Month
We think the Emmy’s happened this month...? And maybe Fashion Week...? But we don’t get a lot of sleep, so forgive us -- our minds get a little fuzzy at times. For us, the biggest highlight of September was actually none other than the $250 giveaway we launched with HauteLook. Since everything on HauteLook is 50-75% off, that means we’re basically giving you $500 to spend on designer clothing. Enter now.
We were also pretty stoked this month to stop by the premiere of What’s Your Number? We’re not saying that we can relate to the premise of the film (cough, cough), but we did enjoy our time on the red carpet. The film opens today.
We were also pretty stoked that this month marked our first article on Hellogiggles, the awesomeness that is Zooey Deschanel’s new website. Check out the Q&A we devised to see if you are a bona fide broke girl, and stay tuned for more articles to come.
This month, we also showed you how to pull off the hottest fall trends without breaking the bank, and we even brought in a crafty friend to show you how to make your own python bag.
In our relentless efforts to make you look good, we schooled you in how to dress like Minka Kelly -- at a fraction of the price, naturally. Your boyfriend, your recent fling, or that creepy guy who lives next door is probably thanking us at this very moment. And as if dressing like Minka Kelly isn’t enough to solidify your status as a bombshell, we taught you the secrets of the art of seduction. Er, rather, a hot French guy taught you the secrets of the art of seduction. You wouldn’t want any of our “tips,” believe us.
Because we like boys (sometimes) and we like TV shows, we also brought you an interview with 2 Broke Girls writer Patrick Walsh. While he did not whisper sweet nothings to us with a husky French accent, he did make us laugh, which is sexy in its own right.
Since dineLA Restaurant Week is just around the corner, and we are always (1) hungry and (2) cheap, we sat down with food editor Kat O’Dell to figure out exactly where to start making reservations.
We also saved you money on booze! Don’t you love us? Not only did we tell you about Bevvy, a site that gives you 50% off your bar tabs with the use of a speakeasy-esque password, but we offered you a $30 credit on your Bevvy account.
Clinging onto the last shreds of this so-called summer, we gave you a rundown of the best pools in LA, which we hope was useful for those three days that were actually warm. Not that this weather makes us bitter and resentful or anything, but it certainly fueled our appetite for a trip to Miami. The itinerary that the Lazy Travelers put together for us is vacation porn at its finest.
And finally, remember that every month is a good month for our deal feed, which offers up the best deals online and around town on a daily basis. There is also never a bad time to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter -- exclusive tips, tricks, and giveaways will make you happy you did.
