BGG Weekender + Bottomless Mimosa Brunch, Part 2

We personally couldn’t care any less about what’s happening this weekend, as the main event is that we are flying to South America, where our plan is to fall in love with someone (preferably of Brazilian descent) and live out our days drinking fruity cocktails and making babies on the beach.  We realize you ladies may not be in this position, but if you want to watch the magic unfold, follow us on instagram (@brokegirlsguide).  And now, for your weekend itinerary:

Friday

If you’re westside, check out this wine & chocolate pairing class, $25 (lots o’ wine, lots o’ chocolate). Before or after, grab a bite to eat at The Tripel, one of our top 4 best broke-girl-friendly restaurants of 2011.

If you’re eastside, grab a pizza pie at Miceli’s and then catch Scrooged and Bad Santa as a double-header at The Egyptian. Afterward, grab a drink at The Writer’s Room.

Saturday

Once again, we’ve got east/west itineraries. If you’re westside, start off at the Venice Surf-a-Thon, if for no other reason than that this has got to be a good way to meet boys. Afterward, get girlie at the 1 p.m. performance of The Nutcracker by the Los Angeles Ballet.  Tix are $30. Then, grab a bite at Sunny Spot, another of our best of 2011, and head on to the Santa Monica Santa Pub Crawl. Or, if that sounds too intense, catch a screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at The Aero instead.

If you’re eastside, sleep in (maybe go for a hike?) then head to Tarascos for free tacos between 3 and 7 p.m.  Stick around for the Silver Lake Holiday Night Out -- there’ll be an artist bazaar & marketplace, carolers, gratis eggnog & more.  Afterward, head downtown for the Freedom and Fashion Runway Show at The Cooper Design Space. Proceeds go to combat sex and labor trafficking, and sponsors include TOMS, Aveda, OPI and more.

Sunday

Head back downtown to peruse the Chic Little Devil Sample Sale and get McQueen, Miu Miu, Lanvin, and more at up to 90% off. Afterward, return to Rock and Reilly’s in WeHo for free mimosas with brunch, this time from 12-2 p.m. (so get there early).  RSVP here.  Then, grab a to-die-for burger from Short Order, yet another of our best of 2011, and head downtown to catch Tori Amos at The Orpheum.  We found tix on Stubhub starting at $25.
