American food is currently so fashionable over here, which I love—the fatty inside me jumps for joy with every new rib-shack and burger bar that pops up around the capital! My current obsession is the breakfast at Duke’s Brew & Que (Dalston, N1 – nearest tube, Hoxton overground). Since you've left the US behind, however, I recommend foregoing their American offerings in favor of their full-on English breakfast—it's the perfect way for a Broke Girl to start her day. The "Duke’s Breakfast" comes with two poached eggs, bacon, bangers, and potatoes. I like to add a cheeky side order of smoked "Cowboy beans." This ain’t no Heinz business. If I shut my eyes I would swear I was in a Western film. Wash this down with a fresh OJ and coffee, and it will set you back  a cool £8.
