Schwarzenegger plans to kill more dogs, faster

This is apparently old news, but I hadn’t heard until this weekend: Due to cutbacks, animal shelters in California will now put down animals after 3 days in holding instead of 6. So, if Fido wanders away and winds up in a shelter, you have only three days to find him before it’s too late. This is really depressing. Tag your dogs and adopt, adopt, adopt!
